Stars Funding Success

Lincoln Stars received fantastic news this week as Sport England awarded the club £2,965 through their Small Grants funding programme.

The money will help the club set up a new development squad, train new coaches and officials and help their community programme.

Stars' head coach, Dave Piggott, was delighted with the news: "We've been struggling financially since the start of the season. It costs a lot of money to set up and run a national league club and the players have had to dig deep to keep us going. This grant means we can concentrate on growing all aspects of the club."

The development work begins with a schools' coaching programme starting at the end of the month, then continues through February with taster sessions and into the summer with camps to be arranged in July.
